Yul Edochie Parents: Meet Josephine And Pete Edochie: Yul Edochie, officially known as Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie is a Nigerian actor.

Born on Thursday, January 7, 1982, the Nollywood actor was named after Russian actor, Yul Brynner.

He developed a love for acting and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after Nigerian actors.

Edochie joined Nollywood in 2005 in his first film titled The Exquires alongside Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa.

In 2007, he got his breakthrough after featuring alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot in the movie Wind Of Glory.

Edochie has since starred in several movies including; The Billionaires, Royal Choice, ATM Machine, Mysterious Family, Passion Of A Prince, The Affectionate Wife, and Dowry Man, to mention a few.

In 2015, he opened a film academy in Lagos. The academy gives talented people the opportunity to be introduced to the Nigerian Film Industry.

In July 2017, Edochie declared his intention to run for Governor of Anambra State. This declaration was made in anticipation of a not too young to run bill passed by the senate of the federal government of Nigeria.

The declaration was however made official in August 2017, when he picked up the nomination form of the Democratic Peoples Congress political party and was eventually the flag bearer and gubernatorial candidate of the party to run for governor of Anambra State.

In March 2023, Yul Edochie hit major headlines when it was reported that he had lost his first son, Kambilichukwu Edochie, on Thursday, March 30th.
