As a senior at Downingtown West High School, Howard passed for 2,543 yards and 27 touchdowns, earning him the title of Maxwell Football Club Pennsylvania Player of the Year.
In addition to sprinting for 512 yards and 21 touchdowns, Howard concluded his high school career with 5,308 passing yards and 48 touchdown passes.
In basketball, he was also selected to the All-Area team twice and finished his varsity career with more than 1,000 points.
