Peter McNab Wife: Who Was Peter McNab Married To? – Peter McNab, an American ice hockey player, was born in Canada. He played 14 NHL seasons for the Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, and New Jersey Devils between 1973 and 1987.

He later worked as a color analyst for the Colorado Avalanche from the start of the team’s inaugural 1995-96 season until his death.

McNab moved to San Diego, California, when he was 14, because his father was the head coach of the minor league San Diego Gulls. McNab grew up in Vancouver, where he was born and raised.

Peter began his career as a baseball player. He came to DU on a baseball scholarship and later joined the hockey team, where he was named all-WCHA in 1973.

Despite only appearing in 49 of Cincinnati’s 76 games in the 1973–74 American Hockey League (AHL) season, McNab led the team in scoring. The following year, McNab joined Buffalo in the NHL.

After making it to the 1975 Stanley Cup Finals, McNab was traded to the Boston Bruins. He had his best NHL seasons in Boston, where he participated in the 1977 NHL All-Star Game and scored at least 35 goals and 75 points six seasons in a row.

In 2021, McNab received a cancer diagnosis. He carried on as an Avalanche color analyst throughout his chemotherapy. In February 2022, doctors told McNab that his cancer had gone into remission. At the age of 70, McNab passed away on November 6, 2022.

He moved to Colorado for the first season of the Colorado Avalanche after eight years of covering the Devils for SportsChannel.

Additionally, he worked as a TV announcer for NBC as a color analyst for TNT during the Olympic games in Nagano, Japan, and as an analyst on NHL on NBC during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.

In addition, he worked as TSN’s studio host and analyst for the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics in 2002.
