Gray left his $40,000-a-year factory job to relocate to Peoria, Illinois, where he founded Mudvayne. The band’s first album, L.D. 50, was released in 2000 to surprising success, selling over 500,000 copies in a year.
Mudvayne went on to become one of the most successful heavy metal artists of the 2000s, releasing four additional studio albums before going on sabbatical in 2010: The End of All Things to Come (2002), Lost and Found (2005), The New Game (2008), and Mudvayne (2009).
Mudvayne reunited for their first gigs in nearly a decade on April 19, 2021, with the chance of new material to follow.
