Born on 4 October 1996 in long Grove, U.S., his age is 25 years.

He is a former collegiate ice hockey athlete and the current broadcaster for the Chicago Blackhawks and the Indy Fuels Hockey. Likewise, he works as an assistant producer at NHL on TNT and producer on NBC Sports Chicago.

Nick was the former forward of the Colorado College Tigers, competing in the NCAA. He played two seasons, 2017-18 and 2018-19, before parting ways with hockey on 17 May 2019. While there, he became a member of the NCHC all-academic team for two consecutive years.

Before that, he played for the Minnesota Wilderness in the 2016-17 season and helped them end up second in the Central Division of NAHL. Likewise, he also played for a few other teams, including USPHL’s South Shore Kings, USHL’s Waterloo, and Chicago.

In the 2013 USHL Futures Draft, the Sioux City Musketeers picked him in the fifth round. Similarly, he completed his high school at Stevenson High School – where he was a member of the National Honor Society.

After his playing career, Nick began his broadcasting journey in the 2019-20 season, calling games with broadcaster Andrew Smith. Since his debut, he has worked as an analyst during Notre Dame hockey on NBC Sports.

The previous year, he made his NHL debut along with John John Wiedeman in the game between Chicago Blackhawks and the Pittsburgh Penguins in November.

Nick’s parents are Eddie and Diana Olczyk. His father is a former NHL center. Throughout his career (1984–2000), he played for six NHL teams, Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

In addition to that, he won the 1994 Stanely Cup with the Rangers. From June 2003 to December 2005, he served as the head coach of the Penguins. Likewise, he is the 2013 United States Hockey Hall of Fame inductee, the honor he received on 22 February.

After that, Eddie moved to the television industry, color commentating for NHL on NBC until 2021. Currently, he is one of the commentators on TNT and the Horse Racing Handicapper and Analyst for NBC’s Horse Racing Coverage.
