Thomas Wesley Pentz, whose stage name is Diplo, was born in Mississippi on November 10, 1978. He grew up in Miami for the duration of his childhood. Following his high school graduation, he enrolled at the University of Central Florida.

During his time in college, he started working as a DJ for a nearby radio station. He connected with DJ Low Budget after moving to Philadelphia, which helped him become considerably more popular and well-known as a DJ.

The producer Diplo may face criminal charges from the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office for violation of privacy and STI willful spread. The accusations are the result of claims made by an unnamed lady that the singer groomed her, abused her sexually, purposefully infected her with chlamydia, and disseminated sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge.

Diplo and his legal team have claimed the lady is a deluded admirer trying to con him for rejecting her ever since news of the affair appeared last year. The accuser, who isn’t being named to protect her privacy, claims that Diplo first contacted her on Twitter when she was seventeen years old. They continued to communicate before having their first experience with consensual sex when she was 21 years old in March 2018 (according to legal documents).

She claims that less than a year later, following a concert in Las Vegas, Diplo sexually assaulted her in his hotel room. Police in Las Vegas decided not to press charges. She tested positive for chlamydia days after this meeting, according to medical records, and she claims that Diplo was her only sexual partner at the time in the court documents.

The victim reported Diplo to the LAPD in October 2020, alleging that he had secretly recorded sexually explicit films of her and, years later, released at least one of them. She further claimed that the DJ intentionally exposed her to chlamydia. No charges have been brought against Diplo for the alleged rape of the woman in his hotel room in Las Vegas following a concert, according to the story.

The lady claimed that Diplo had groomed her and then hired a private investigator to track her down following a disagreement in a series of tweets she sent out before going to the LAPD. Diplo received a settlement of more than $1.2 million from a woman he said had hounded him relentlessly following a one-night encounte.
