Who are Sheynnis Palacios’ Parents? – Sheynnis Palacios is a Nicaraguan model and beauty pageant titleholder. She achieved the prestigious title of Miss Universe 2023, making history as the first Nicaraguan to clinch the Miss Universe crown after previously winning Miss Nicaragua 2023.

Before her triumph at Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palacios participated in Miss World 2021 as Miss World Nicaragua 2020, securing a position in the Top 40.

Born on May 30, 2000, and in her early years, Sheynnis Palacios was born in Managua, Nicaragua, on May 31, 2000. She pursued a degree in mass communication at the Universidad Centroamericana, where she also excelled as a varsity volleyball player.

Who are Sheynnis Palacios’ Parents?

Reportedly identified as Raquel Cornejo, her mother plays a significant role in her life, providing a nurturing and guiding influence. While the identity of her father remains undisclosed, it adds an element of mystery to her personal background. Raquel Cornejo, recognized as her mother, is presumably a key figure in shaping her upbringing and values.

The absence of information regarding her father adds an intriguing layer to her family narrative, leaving room for curiosity and speculation. This subtle mystery surrounding her father’s identity invites contemplation about the reasons behind the non-disclosure. It could be a deliberate choice to maintain privacy, or perhaps it reflects an aspect of her life that she prefers to keep separate from the public eye.

Palacios initiated her pageant journey in 2016 by winning the Miss Teen Nicaragua 2016 title. This led her to represent her country in the Teen Universe 2017 pageant, where she reached the Top 10.

Her journey continued with the Miss World Nicaragua 2020 crown, which she earned on May 16, 2020, representing the capital, Managua. Palacios faced the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in the cancellation of the Miss World 2020 and 2021 Pageants. However, in 2022, she represented Nicaragua at the 70th edition of the Miss World competition in San Juan, Puerto Rico, achieving a place in the Top 40.

In 2022, Palacios faced a setback as she couldn’t participate in the Reinado Internacional del Café 2022 competition due to testing positive for COVID-19.

Undeterred, she made a triumphant return in Miss Nicaragua 2023, where she was declared the winner on August 5, 2023. This victory granted her the opportunity to represent Nicaragua at Miss Universe 2023.

At the Miss Universe 2023 competition, Palacios made history as the fifth Nicaraguan to reach the semifinals and ultimately emerged as the first Nicaraguan to be crowned Miss Universe. Notably, she became the second woman from Central America to achieve this honor, following Justine Pasek of Panama in 2002. However, Palacios holds the distinction of being the first Central American to win the title outright, as Pasek inherited the title after the original titleholder was dethroned.
