He developed a love for American football at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after football players.

D.J. Moore attended Imhotep Institute Charter High School in Philadelphia where he played high school football for Imhotep Charter.

He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins from 2015 to 2017 before he committed to the University of Maryland, College Park to play college football.

D.J. Moore was invited to the 2018 NFL combine, where he led receivers in the broad jump, and recorded the second-best vertical jump. He also ran a 4.42-second 40-yard dash.

He previously played as a wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League (NFL).

In March 2023, Moore made headlines when the Carolina Panthers agreed to trade the ninth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft to the Chicago Bears in exchange for the first overall pick, as well as several other draft picks.

However, the trade which happened on Friday, March 10 will not be made official until the league calendar year begins on Wednesday, March 15.
