He was arrested in 2017 in Wyoming for unlawful entry. He was reported to be nude and intoxicated. He was then suspended from ESPN.

Nonetheless, he parted ways with the sports company ESPN and moved to another sports commentary station. Russillo explained that he was proud to come to work in ESPN every single day of his life. 

However, he was able to negotiate his penalty for his misdemeanor crime, but such actions require a maximum of six-month jail terms and a fine of up to $750.
