Vanessa Hau Mdee was born on the 7th of June, 1988 in Arusha, Tanzania. There is no available information with regards to her parents. However, she has an elder sister by the name, Nancy Namtero Tero Mdee.
Vanessa reportedly spent most of her early childhood in different places including New York, Paris, Nairobi and Arusha.
