World Over Movie is a 17 minutes horror, mystery-filled short film that has earned many awards.
Directed and written by Heath C. Michaels, it stars Tess Granfield and Brett Keating in the lead role.
Basically, the movie is about Cass and her husband Jules who get involved in a series of unwanted tasks after finding a key.
Premiered in 2018 at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, The World Over does a great job of keeping the audience engaged till the end with its thriller scenes.
Granfield and Keating deliver outstanding performances and had to portray different versions of their characters, which doesn’t seem easy.

The World Over movie ending explains the mirror reflection happening throughout the movie. What goes around comes around to Cass is what is highlighted.
The ending scene begins from the moment when the original Cass enters another universe and starts living with Jules.
The scene seems to be the most challenging one as explained by the director in a YouTube video. The scenes were meticulously framed and given shape.
The timespan showing Cass’s pregnancy progress is amazing. After she visits Jules in the new universe, she is happy.
Later at night, Cass sees someone peeping from the same portal she came from. When she returns from the bathroom Jules was killed by his other self from another portal.
She tries to run, but her other self comes through the portal she thought she closed and stabs her the similar way she stabbed her kitchen self in the first place.
Gaffer and DP Greg LeFevre, the cinematographers, deliver some brilliant and clear camera work. The film is accordingly constructed, there are fine movements and it is overall beautifully edited by Kevin Hickman (the editor).

The World Over Plot Synopsis and Summary
The World Over synopsis describes the story in a brief way. All the scenes are abruptly highlighted giving a recap to the story.
Cass is a pregnant woman who lives with her husband Jules, in an apartment where she finds a key. It is a strange key that opens up a secret pathway, an alternate version of her apartment.
The World Over plot gives the viewers a new thriller experience as they dive into the film. She gives the key to her husband, Jules who goes to check it out but doesn’t return.
Cass, a reserved mother-to-be worries when her husband doesn’t come back and is forced to move in search of Jules.
Attacked with loneliness, she gathers her courage and goes in search of him. As soon as she goes beyond the door she encounters a parallel universe with similar duplicates of herself and her husband.
The World Over synopsis highlights scenes such as Intro, Where it all began, The uncanny, the Kitchen scene, the Bathroom scene, and the ending.
A tennis ball craved with the writings Jules loves Cass when thrown through the portal is thrown back with a new message written as “How do you know our name?”
The couple gets confused and suspects someone else might be there. Jules decides to find who thre the tennis ball from across the invisible door.
Cass was hesitant to let him go, but he assured her that he wouldn’t take more than five minutes.
She walks back and forth in front of the portal, waiting for Jules, but no one replies.
Desperate, Cass holds the portal door and takes a peek. She sees her doppelganger on the passage of the same home with a basket of clothes.
Cass immediately pulls out the key that was attached to the wall. Meanwhile, she is still waiting for Jules.
Her pregnancy has grown by weeks, and frustrated Cass even tries to put a knife to her stomach but can’t.
With the knife in her hand, she comes up with an idea. She searches for the key and gets inside the invisible door.
There she finds her doppelganger working in the kitchen who was shocked to see her doppelganger as well.
The Cass already present in the kitchen tells her that she is not the only one coming into this portal in search of her Jules. The portal has to be closed in order to not let other universe’s Cass and Jules enter yours.
The scene explains that there are different Cass and Jules in different universes.
The kitchen Cass asks the other Cass to leave the place and shut the door behind. Desperately wanting to be with Jules, she stabs another part of her who seems similar weeks pregnant.
She disposes of the body to the place where she stayed alone for so long. She takes her place and starts to clean the blood.
The last scene shows some intriguing facts about the story. How the movie is shaped, and how well the actors have delivered their parts.
Cass returns back to the portal from where she came with a wound in her stomach after being stabbed by her other self.
