The real Judy Moody - GirlsLife
Are you ready for the “Supermegatotally thrilladelic” Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer? Well, it hits theaters TODAY!
In the film, Judy Moody (Jordana Beatty), a 3rd grader with a big imagination, is determined to have a fab summer despite the small snag of being forced to stay at home with her brother, Stink (Parris Mosteller), and zany Aunt Opal (Heather Graham). As
a brilliant solution, she creates “Judy Moody’s Super-Rare Not
Bummer Summer Dare,” a competition between friends, where Judy and
her buds perform tasks for “thrill points.” Sounds crazy fun,
right?
Thirteen-year-old
Jordana Beatty
stars as Judy Moody and, let us just say, this super sweet chick is
the kind of gal we’d love to have as a friend. Just read our
exclusive interview with her to see what we mean. 0
GL:
How would you describe your character?
Jordana:She’s a
fun-loving girl who loves creating plans. She tries to follow them,
but it always kind of ends up a different way. She always has a good
time and, of course, she is very moody.
What’s
your favorite thing about her?
Her
creativity and the way she collects things. I started collecting
hotel and restaurant mints [while filming in America], but I ended up
eating them! Yeah, that didn’t work out.
If
you could be a character in a book, other than Judy that is, who
would you be?
I
really loved in the series 39
Clues and
the whole treasure hunting idea. I’d probably take out all the
weapons and stuff, and then switch with Amy.
Sounds
adventurous! Could you imagine doing something like that in real
life?
When
we were filming Judy Moody, [my family and I] started geocaching.
It’s a global treasure hunt and once you’re a member, you get
tiny clues and get to use a GPS to find these boxes with log books in
them that you sign. When we came back to Australia, we started a team
with Megan McDonald, the author of Judy
Moody. It is
so much fun!
OK,
we’re big on “Would You Rather’s” right now. Would you rather
be known as Justin Bieber’s girlfriend OR fellow Aussie, Cody
Simpson’s?
Cody
Simpson’s. I like his music.
Be
sure to catch Jordana on the big screen, then come back and tell us
your thoughts.
Will
you be catching Judy
Moody and the NOT Bummer Summerthis weekend? Blog about it, babes.
