At the age of 11, he began recording music and published a collaboration CD with the Glorious Five, a group he and a couple of his churchmates founded. Wizkid secured a record deal with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E.) in 2009. Later, he rose to prominence with the release of “Holla at Your Boy,” the lead single off his debut studio album, Superstar (2011), which also yielded the hits “Tease Me/Bad Guys” and “Don’t Dull.”
Ayo, his self-titled second studio album, was released in September 2014.
