Scott McTominay Wife: Is Scott McTominay Married? – Scott McTominay has been a part of the Manchester United academy since he was five years old, having attended the club’s development center in Preston.

McTominay, who had previously played as a centre forward in his youth career, was converted to a central midfield role under Warren Joyce. In July 2013, he reportedly signed his first professional contract with the club.

Between 2013 and 2015, he appeared seven times for the Under-18s but struggled due to his small stature. McTominay missed the majority of the 2014-15 season due to injuries related to growth and development issues, despite growing 14 inches in two years.

McTominay struggled again during the 2015-16 season, appearing in 11 Under-19 and Under-21 games, but commanded a place in the team the following season, scoring three goals in 21 games prior to his senior call-up.

McTominay came on as a substitute for Paul Pogba just after the hour mark in the match against Vlerenga on 30 July 2017, and 10 minutes later, he scored his first senior goal for the club – the third in a 3-0 win.

McTominay made his season debut in the EFL Cup against Burton Albion on September 20, 2017, replacing Marcus Rashford in the 64th minute of a 4-1 victory.

McTominay signed a contract extension on January 21, 2019, keeping him at United until 2023, with the option of another year. Replacing the injured Nemanja Mati, his first meaningful start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came against Liverpool on February 24.

McTominay scored his first goal for Manchester United in a 1-1 draw with Arsenal on September 30, 2019. McTominay scored United’s 2,000th Premier League goal in a 3-1 win over Norwich City at Carrow Road on October 27.

McTominay was given credit for another goal, this time against Brighton, after United successfully argued to a Premier League panel that it should not be considered an own goal by Davy Propper.

He scored his first league goals of the season on 20 December 2020, when he scored a brace inside three minutes in a 6-2 home win over Leeds United.

It was the first time in Premier League history that a player scored twice in the first three minutes of a game.

McTominay scored in Manchester United’s Premier League record-equaling 9-0 home win over Southampton on February 2, 2021. Four days later, he scored in a 3-3 draw with Everton, making this his highest scoring season to date with six goals.
