Biography of Scott Adams

Scott Raymond Adams, also known as Scott Adams, was born in Windham, New York, on June 8, 1957. He is Virginia and Paul Adams’ son. Scott has Scottish, English, German, Irish, and Dutch ancestry. He began working for the telephone company Pacific Bell in 1986. He was inspired by others around him at work to create the cartoon character Dilbert. His Dilbert was initially printed by United Media in 1989. People adored his work, and Dilbert gained popularity over time.

400 newspapers published Dilbert in 1994. Following the success of Dilbert, Scott started working as a cartoonist full-time. In 1996, Scott published “The Dilbert Principle,” his debut business book.
