Originally born Samuel Awuku but popularly known as Sammy Awuku is the National Youth Organiser for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

At age 36, he was born on April 10, 1984, at Koforidua. He happens to be the only male among four sisters. He was born and raised in the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Education

Sammy had his basic education at Nana Kwaku Boateng Experimental School and later furthered at St. Augustine’s College in the Central Region of Ghana and later studied Political Science and Psychology at the University of Ghana.

Due to his love for politics, he also proceeded to study law at the University of London (Diploma) and currently a master’s degree in international relations at Free University of Berlin in Germany.

Career

Sammy Awuku started his politics when he was at the University of Ghana. He even contested for the presidency of the student representative council (SRC). He happens to play a vital role in the New Patriotic Party as the National Youth Organiser. He did his possible best to mobilize the youth to the party which brought the victory of the NPP in 2016.

He served as the Deputy Communication’s Director before becoming the National Youth Organizer.

In 2012, Sammy Awuku was dragged with contempt at the Supreme court of Ghana and he pleaded guilty of which the court had to pardon him. Check out more information about him in the video below;
