‘He always had a smile on his face and left a smile on your face, he was utterly dedicated, professional, charming, and hugely popular, he’ll be missed by so many people inside the industry and at home.’

The ITV Sport technical boss, Roger Pearce reportedly died only five weeks before his retirement, a friend said. Aside from the 2022 World Cup he’s covering in Qatar, Roger Pearce was in charge of the UEFA Europe Championships and the Rugby World Cup.

Roger Pearce died on Monday, November 21 2022 in Qatar. He died at the age of 65, however, the cause of his death is yet to be known.
