The American sportscaster Quint Elroy Kessenich (born November 1967) is known for his work on ESPN and ABC television, where he has covered lacrosse, basketball, football, wrestling, and horse racing. He was a former All-American goalie for the lacrosse team. The Johns Hopkins University, where he studied from 1987 to 1990, is where he was twice awarded the Ensign C. Markland Kelly, Jr. Award, which recognises the nation’s top goalkeeper. At the amateur level, Kessenich represented the legendary Mount Washington Lacrosse Club, and he also played one season of professional lacrosse with the Baltimore Thunder in 1999. In addition, he is a frequent writer to the lacrosse journal Inside Lacrosse, which he founded. In a halftime interview with an enraged Bo Pelini during the Iowa-Nebraska football game broadcast on ABC on November 29, 2013, Kessenich made national headlines when the Nebraska coach responded to a reporter’s inquiry about a pair of Cornhusker turnovers with the words “I’m not going to take it anymore.” “What are your thoughts? This is what sort of a question it is.” A week earlier, Michigan State Spartans football coach Mark Dantonio yelled at Kessenich during a halftime interview, prompting an investigation.
