Renovations

Nissan Stadium renovations in 2012 upgraded a new sound system, high-speed elevator, LED ribbon boards, LED video display, and two new scoreboards.

The venue was built in 1999 and has hosted the Tennessee Titans, Music City Bowl, concerts, and other events. There have been plans to renovate the stadium and surrounding area with a new entertainment district, parks, transit connections, and more.

However, the ongoing renovation plans have been put on pause in 2022, as new studies show that the stadium needs more extensive upgrades than expected.

So, the Titans and Nashville are now considering building a new stadium instead of renovating the old one as it might be a better long-term financial decision. The cost of a new stadium is estimated to be at least $2.1 billion.
