American politician, Mark Finchem was born on April 24th, 1957 in Detroit, Michigan in the United States of America.

He serves as the coordinator for Arizona for the Coalition of Western States, a group that opposes BLM operations and backed the 2016 occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

Finchem is a part of the Oath Keepers militia. He is the Arizona Secretary of State candidate for the Republican Party in 2022.

After coming in second place to Vince Leach in the Republican primary and moving on to the general election through Arizona’s top-two nominating system, Finchem was first elected to the Arizona House of Representatives in 2014.

In the main election, Finchem and Leach were successful candidates. With 36,732 votes, Finchem defeated Leach and Democratic opponent Holly Lyon to win the election.

He joined the Kalamazoo, Michigan, department of public safety after finishing high school, serving first as a firefighter and subsequently as a police officer. He worked as a rancher in addition to being a police officer.

He graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College with an associate of applied science. In 1999, Finchem left the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

In 1999, Finchem relocated to Tucson, Arizona, and started a career in real estate. Later, he rose to the position of vice president of Clean Power Technologies LLC, an Idaho-based business that advertised its ability to produce and deliver sustainable energy “without wires, anywhere in the world.”

He permitted the 2021 expiration of his real estate license. Finchem graduated from Grand Canyon University with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in public policy in 2019 and then earned a Master of Legal Studies (MLS) from the University of Arizona (UA).

Finchem allegedly claimed to be a “legislative fellow in residence” at the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona in a 2021 paper that he published through his charity; Finchem does not hold a fellowship at the law school.
