Lars Mikkelsen Siblings: Meet Mads Mikkelsen: Lars Mikkelsen, officially known as Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen is a Danish actor born on May 6, 1964

He developed a love for acting at a younger age and has been consistent throughout his career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after actors.

At the age of 27, Lars Mikkelsen enrolled at the National Theatre School of Denmark from which he graduated in 1995.

He has played Copenhagen mayoral election candidate Troels Hartmann in the drama series The Killing, and Charles Augustus Magnussen in the third series of Sherlock.

In addition to his role in The Killing, he subsequently appeared in two other internationally acclaimed Danish drama series, Those Who Kill and Borgen III.

In the American television series House of Cards, Lars Mikkelsen played the president of Russia.

He won an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his role in the Danish television drama Herrens Veje which was broadcast in the UK in 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm.

Mikkelsen voiced Grand Admiral Mitth’raw’nuruodo “Thrawn” in the third and fourth seasons of the animated series Star Wars Rebels, and will reprise the role in the 2023 live-action Disney+ series Ahsoka.

Lars Mikkelsen is not the only child of his parents; Henning Mikkelsen (father) and Bente Christiansen (mother). He is the older brother of actor Mads Mikkelsen. They were both raised in the Nørrebro district.

Mads Mikkelsen, officially known as Mads Dittmann Mikkelsen became a household name in Denmark for his role as Detective Sergeant Allan Fischer in the television series Rejseholdet.

He has also starred in several films and movies including; Niels in Open Hearts, Svend in The Green Butchers, Ivan in Adam’s Apples, and Jacob Petersen in After the Wedding.

Mads Mikkelsen was born on November 22, 1965 (age 57 years). He’s married to Hanne Jacobsen since 2000 and has been blessed with two kids; Viola Jacobsen Mikkelsen, Carl Jacobsen Mikkelsen
