Kaleb Canales is one of the most popular and richest Basketball Coach who was born on July 7, 1978 in Laredo, Texas, United States. Kaleb Canales (born July 7 1978) is an American basketball assistant coach for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

At the end of summer 2012 Portland appointed Terry Stotts as their head coach however, Canales continued to work in Portland as an assistant. On May 3 2013, Canales accepted an assistant coach position for the Dallas Mavericks.

As of 2005, Canales got a job as an intern for video with the Portland Trail Blazers, and was eventually appointed director of video for the team. In 2009 the year he was promoted to assistant coach for the team. In the year 2010, Canales was named the Blazers head coach for the NBA Summer League. He was elevated into interim head coach of Trail Blazers after head coach Nate McMillan was dismissed on March 15th the 15th of March, 2012. Canales is now the youngest head coach currently within the NBA and was the first coach of Mexican descent ever in NBA history.
