Justyn, who hails from East Java, Indonesia died in a horror accident after being crushed by a barbell while trying to squat 210kg on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Justyn, a bodybuilder and a nutritional adviser was strength training at The Paradise Bali gym in Sanur when he attempted to squat-press 210kg.

While trying to extend his legs during the strength training, the heavy bar weighed down on his shoulders, meaning he was struggling to stand upright.

Unfortunately, the spotter who stood behind him was unable to assist him as Justyn fell to the ground and the stacked barbell fell onto the back of his neck.

Following the horrific accident, he was rushed to a local hospital with a broken neck and critical compression of vital nerves connecting to his heart and lungs.

Justyn underwent emergency surgery but passed away shortly after the emergency operation, despite the surgeons’ best efforts to save his life.

Following Justyn’s demise, many of his colleagues and friends have paid tribute to him on social media.

The Paradise Bali paid tribute to Justyn calling him “more than just a fitness expert; he was a beacon of inspiration, motivation, and unwavering support.” In an Instagram post, the gym wrote;
