Joe Pavelski is an American professional ice hockey player and alternate captain for the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected 205th overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the San Jose Sharks. He spent his first thirteen seasons with the Sharks before making way to join the Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Pavelski won a silver medal as a member of the United States men’s national ice hockey team at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He also served as captain of Team USA at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey in Toronto.
