Jerry DeGregorio is one of the most popular and richest American basketball coach who was born on February 20, 1962 in New Britain, Connecticut, United States. The second season of DeGregorio was a bit better at 7-23 however, DeGregorio was fired following the season. In 2001 The Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA hired DeGregorio as an assistant coach and director of player development. DeGregorio worked in that role until 2003 when DeGregorio began his work as an individual skill development coach for several famous NBA players. In 2004 the Fayetteville Patriots of the NBA Development League hired DeGregorio as an assistant coach. DeGregorio was hired by in the Golden State Warriors in 2011 as an assistant coach.

He relocated from Rhode Island in 1997 as the top coach under Jim Harrick, shortly after Lamar Odom transferred from UNLV. Harrick abruptly quit to join Georgia following the 1998-99 season and DeGregorio was appointed the head coach. A few days later the coach Odom declared that he would be going to for the 1998 NBA Draft. In a short time the four hopefuls were removed URI from their list and another was declared ineligible and a crucial reserve was removed due to academics. With a depleted roster, the first team of DeGregorio suffered a 5-25 record the worst record in school history.

In New Britain, Connecticut, DeGregorio was raised living in New Britain, Connecticut. He grew up in the Little Italy section of The Bronx, New York. DeGregorio graduated with his B.A. at St. John’s University of New York City in 1988 and completed master’s-level courses in Hofstra University and Wesleyan University.
