In January 2023, he made headlines when he hosted celebrity chef, Brian Turner on James Martin’s Saturday Morning show on Saturday, January 14, 2023. During their interaction, Brain disclosed he had a stroke last summer.

While sharing his health struggles during the show, Brian Turner said he is recovering after being hospitalized with a stroke in June (2022). He thanked the ‘fantastic’ hospital staff who looked after him.

After the show aired, the host, James Martin took to Twitter to thank fans for their support, saying Brian had been ‘in tears’ at the kind messages.
