Hugo Ekitike parents-French professional footballer, Hugo Ekitike was born on June 20th, 2002 in Reims, Marne in France.

The young football sensation was born to a  Cameroonian mother and French father. It is unclear if Ekitike shares the same parents with anyone else as he is believed to be the only child of his parents.

Ekitike scored two goals for Reims in a 3-1 victory over Nantes on September 26, 2021, after coming on as a substitute. Ekitike declined a prospective deal to Newcastle United during the January 2022 transfer window.

While acknowledging that the club had had “quite good proposals” for Ekitike, Reims president Jean-Pierre Caillot emphasized that “there is still a piece of history to write together.”

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) confirmed the signing of Ekitike on July 16, 2022, for a reported sum of €35 million, bonuses included, on a season-long loan with an option to purchase. Several sources claim that the purchase option in the agreement is required.

On August 6, 2022, Ekitike made his PSG debut in a road 5-0 league victory against Clermont. He earned his first start for the team on October 1 in a 2-1 league triumph against Nice at Parc des Princes.

Ten days later, in a 1-1 home tie with Benfica, Ekitike made his UEFA Champions League debut. He entered the game as a late substitution. He scored his first goal for Paris Saint-Germain on November 13 in a 5-0 victory over Auxerre at home.
