Jaden Smith is an American rapper and actor best known as the son of actor Will Smith.

Jaden Christopher Syre Smith was born on July 8, 1998, in Malibu, California, the United States to parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. He was raised alongside an older half-brother, Trey Smith and a younger sister, Willow Smith.

Jaden Smith was schooled at New Village Leadership Academy and later homeschooled by his parents. He gained attention following his film debut alongside his father Will Smith in the 2006 film The Pursuit of Happyness.

Jaden Smith has also appeared in After Earth (2013), The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) and The Karate Kid (2010). He began his musical career as a rapper alongside Canadian singer Justin Bieber who featured him on the 2010 single “Never Say Never.”

Jaden Smith went on to release his debut studio album, Syre in 2017. He has since released the studio albums Erys (2019) and CTV3: Cool Tape Vol. 3 (2020). Jaden received a Grammy Award for Album of the Year nomination as a featured artist on Bieber’s album Justice in 2021.
