He is most known for being the lead singer of Talisman from 1990 to 2007, the vocalist on Yngwie Malmsteen’s first two albums, and the lead vocalist for Journey from 2006 to 2007 after Steve Augeri had to leave the band due to an acute throat infection. He is influenced by traditional soul singers such as Sam Cooke, Journey vocalist Steve Perry, and Queen’s Freddie Mercury. His style extends from Hard Rock to Heavy & Power Metal.
