She developed a passion for playing netball at a younger age, has been consistent throughout her career, and has risen to become one of the most sought-after netball players.

Nweke made her national debut for New Zealand on Wednesday, 22nd September 2021 against England in a 2021 Taini Jamison Trophy Series match.

Following her national debut, she became the 4th person of African descent to play for the team after Irene Van Dyk, Leana de Bruin, and Karin Burger, all born in South Africa.

Nweke was selected for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and was noted as having a standout performance in the Bronze medal final against England when New Zealand won 55-48

He earned another call-up to the team for the 2022 Constellation Cup against the Australian Diamonds and this time, her shooting form was noted as being flawless.

Nweke was selected for the 2023 Netball Quad Series in Cape Town and was the only player of the New Zealand national netball team (Silver Ferns) to play four full games.

Though the Silver Ferns lost to the Australian Diamonds in the final 56-50, Nweke won the best shooter and overall player of the series.

The defending world champions, New Zealand were dealt a blow on Monday, July 31 when their shooter was ruled out of the rest of the Netball World Cup.
