Ghanaian Rapper, OJ Blaq Is Dead: Ghanaian rapper, Andy Nii Akrashie, better known by his stage name, OJ Blaq has died at the age of 40.

At this time of writing (Thursday, August 17, 2023), the cause of death has not yet been confirmed, but the rapper had been battling kidney disease for several years.

OJ Blaq began his music career in the early 2000s and released his debut studio album captioned, “The Blaq Mixtape”, in 2006.

He was signed to Lynx Entertainment where he released hit tracks such as Chale Wote, Joley, Me Wo Mmaa, and “Target”, among others

OJ Blaq also had a passion for acting, appearing in a number of Ghanaian films and television series. He became famous for his role in the TV series; Sun City.

In 2021, OJ Blaq was diagnosed with kidney disease. He underwent dialysis treatment and was awaiting a kidney transplant.

Sadly, the multifaceted musician, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023. May his soul rest in peace.
