Yogi Babu born 22 July 1985, is an Indian actor and comedian who appears in Tamil cinema. He has won awards for Ananda Vikatan Cinema three times and has appeared in Andhavankattarai (2016), Koramav Kokila (2018), and Pali Yelam Perumal (2018).
As an aspiring actor, he made his feature film debut in Ameer with Yogi (2009), after which he adopted the film’s name as a prefix to his stage name. He appears as an idiot in Pyer. He later appeared in an uncredited role as a pimp in Sundar C.’s Kalakalappu (2012). In 2013, he appeared in his first extended comedy role with Patathuyanai (2013) and also appeared in the Hindi film Chennai Express alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
Yogi Babu then appeared as Sivakarthikeyan’s comedic rival in Maan Karate (2014) and as a creepy comedian in Yaamirukka Bayamey (2014). Yogi Babu had his breakthrough in 2016, appearing in 20 films, and in Aandavan Kattalai (2016) he received critical acclaim for his role opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
