Anthony Richard Anstead born on March 1979, is an English television presenter, motor specialist, car builder, designer, and artist, best known for co-presenting the Channel 4 automotive show For the Love of Cars with Philip Glenister. In 2017 Ant Anstead took over from Edd China as co-host of the show Wheeler Dealers, alongside Mike Brewer.

Ant Anstead was born in Plymouth, Devon, England and lived in Ely, Cambridgeshire until he was ten years old, when he moved with his family to Hertfordshire. He was educated at the Richard Hale School in Hartford, and later completed his A-Levels at the nearby Haileybury School.

Ant Anstead joined the Hertfordshire Police in 1999 and was initially based in Bishop’s Stortford. He moved to the Cheshunt Police Department and later became a member of the Welwyn Garden City Tactical Firearms Team (TFU). Ant Anstead won two awards for his bravery during his police career.
