Fear And Panic Rocks NHIA As 2 Deputy CEOs, Other Directors Test Positive For COVID-19
Two Deputy Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) have reportedly also tested positive for COV-D-19.
This comes almost three days after the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Authority, Dr. Lydia Dsane-Selby was tested positive for the virus and is currently being quarantined in order to receive medical care.
Ghgossip.com, understands that the two deputies tested positive after health professionals started contact tracing after the Chief Executive Officer tested positive for the novel covid-19.
Among the executives who are said to have contracted the virus are deputy CEO Finance and Investment, deputy CEO HR and Administration and deputy CEO Operations.
Meanwhile, further reports suggest that some Directors who work closely with the CEO have also tested positive.
So far, four government officials have tested positive for the COVID-19 with one dead.
Ghana’s covid-19 total death tool has jumped to 66 with total case counts of 12590 total as at Wednesday 17th June, 2020, according to information at the Ghana Health Service’s official website.
The country has also recorded 8,114 active cases with 4,410 recoveries.
