Dakota Mathias (born July 11 1995) is an American professional basketball player with the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. He played basketball in the NCAA tournament for Purdue University.
Following his undrafted status in the annual NBA selection, Mathias has signed an agreement with a partial guarantee from the Cleveland Cavaliers, joining the team for Summer League. On August 1st 2018 he joined Divina Seguros Joventut of the Liga ACB in Spain. Following an injury to his ankle that was a major issue during the months of October through December a little discomfort was still present that kept him from regularly playing, and on March 3rd 2019 the club and the player reached an agreement to end their contract.
On July 26, 2019, Mathias signed a training camp contract with the Dallas Mavericks. He was waived on October 16, 2019, but later added to the roster of the Mavs’ NBA G League affiliate, the Texas Legends. He scored 30 points in a win over Sioux Falls Skyforce on November 27. Mathias scored 30 points in a victory over the Oklahoma City Blue on December 9. Mathias averaged 18.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal per game.

As an undergraduate, he averaged 12.0 scores, 4.1 Rifles as well as 3.9 assists per game for the team that was 30-7.
