At the 2023 Arnold Palmer Cup, he lost three of his four matches and that same year, he won the Amateur Championship at Hillside Golf Club in England.
Following his victory at the Amateur Championship at Hillside Golf Club, Lamprecht rose to 3rd in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
In July 2023, he hit major headlines after becoming the third South African in six years to win The Amateur Championship.
This win gives him exemptions to the 2023 Open Championship, the 2024 Masters Tournament as well as the 2024 U.S. Open.
