Alissa White-Gluz boyfriend Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein is the guitarist for the punk band, Misfits. The musician couple are dating for over nine years.

Alissa is best known for her work as the lead vocalist in the Swedish melodic death metal band, Arch Enemy. It is a metal supergroup and consists of former members from different metal bands like Carcass, Armageddon, Carnage, The Agonist, and more.

The singer replaced Angela Gossow in 2014 who herself had replaced original singer and frontman, Johan Liiva. Alissa was a member of the band, The Agonist, before she joined Arch Enemy, and was not only a founding member but lead singer and frontman.

Aside from her work with her band, she is also prominent for her guest vocals in various different metal adjacent bands like Kamelot, Delain, Carnifex, and Powerwolf, to name a few.

Alissa White-Gluz boyfriend Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein has been in Misfits on and off since 1980. Doyle plays lead guitar and backs vocals.

Best known for his iconic hairstyle and killer physique, Doyle was born on September 15, 1964, in Lodi, New Jersey as Paul Caiafa. He is the younger brother of Misfit’s bassist Jerry Only, or Jerry Caiafa, who is iconic for being the only member to be present on all Misfits releases. 

As a child, Doyle played on the Lodi High School’s football team until he graduated in 1982. He had been working for Misfits as a roadie even before he graduated and joined the band in October 1980 when he was only 16 years old.

As a guitarist, Doyle replaced the band’s second guitarist Bobby Steele. He and his brother financed the band in its early years by working at their father’s machine shop.

Since Misfits as a band have had a haphazard career with many hiatuses, Doyle has been in various other bands like Kryst the Conqueror with his brother, Gorgeous Frankenstein, and most recently his eponymous band, Doyle. 

Alissa And Doyle Started Dating In 2014

Alissa and Doyle have been in a domestic partnership since 2014. The two are a metal powerhouse couple.

The two met in 2013 when Doyle was doing a tour with Misfits’ lead singer Glenn Danzig’s band, Danzig. Alissa, alongside her, then band The Agonist, was on the first leg of the tour.

According to an interview with Blabbermouth, Doyle was heavily impressed by her right away and thought she was the Queen Beast of metal. The Misfits guitarist was in the middle of divorcing his wife Stephanie Bellars when they met.

The divorce got finalized that year, and the two started dating shortly after. Alissa has spoken about how much music matters in their relationship, and that it’s their passion for music that has kept their relationship going all these years.

The Arch Enemy singer has stated that when it comes to her band, she puts it before everything else, and has encouraged Doyle to do the same because she believes in his music, especially his band, Doyle.

For his part, Doyle has also been a sweet influence on her and Alissa has stated that he was a huge boon for her when her band The Agonist fired her and shared in her joy when she was hired by Arch Enemy.

Alissa and Doyle share a 21-year-old age difference. Alissa was born on July 31, 1985, and Doyle on September 15, 1964.

As of the writing of this article, Alissa is 37 years old while Doyle is 58 years old. When they met, Doyle was 49 years old while Alissa was 28.

Since they were both well beyond the legal age of consent, there isn’t anything strange about their age difference, and neither of the parties nor their fans have brought up the subject.

However, their differences don’t only lie in age and birthday, they are also native to different countries. As stated above, Doyle is native to New Jersey in the United States while Alissa is from Montreal, Quebec.

The Arch Enemy singer is also of Jewish descent and has talked about how her grandparents were escapees from German concentration camps during the second world war. But despite their differences, the couple has been together for close to a decade now and seems happy and healthy.

Alissa and Doyle share a similarity in that they both have musician family members. Doyle has his brother Jerry and Alissa has her sister, Jasamine.

As stated above, Doyle’s brother Jerry, known by fans as Jerry Only, is the bassist of Misfits. Born on April 21, 1959, he is five years older than his younger brother. 

In Alissa’s case, she is the younger sister of Jasamine White-Gluz who is best known for being the head singer and founding member of the Canadian shoegaze band No Joy. 

Jasamine formed the band in late 2009 alongside former member Laura Lloyd. In its present incarnation, the band consists of Jasamine alongside Garland Hastings and Michael Farsky. 

Aside from Jasamine, Alissa also has another sibling who has managed to stay away from the spotlight like the two musician siblings.

Lastly, Doyle was also very close to his late father and shared a beautiful Instagram post about the last time he saw his father who passed away on October 26, 2013. His father was diagnosed with cancer at age 40 but managed to live until the age of 74. 

Doyle Was Married To Stephanie Bellars

Aside from Alissa, Doyle’s most prominent relationship is his marriage to Stephanie Bellars. The two were married from 2001 to 2013.

Bellars is best known for her work as a professional wrestling valet, meaning she accompanied wrestlers who went to fight matches. She is most prominent for serving as the valet of Macho Man Randy Savage under the alias, Gorgeous George.

The valet’s career lasted from April 1999 until she retired in 2014. Throughout her career, she worked in various wrestling companies but is most prominently known for her work in World Championship Wrestling and Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Bellars and Doyle share a child together, a daughter named Boriss, who was born on August 17, 2002. However, Doyle also has three sons, all from previous relationships, while Bellars also has another child aside from Boriss.
