Alex Borstein an American actress, comedian, writer and producer. Alex Borstein is the mother of two children Henrietta Borstein Douglas and Barnaby Borstein Douglas.

Alex Borstein’s son, Barnaby,  was born on September 8, 2008, and her daughter, Henrietta, was born on October 1, 2012.

Alex Borstein’s daughter Henrietta Douglas suffers from mild haemophilia. It is an inherited medical condition in which the blood loses its ability to clot, causing the sufferer to bleed profusely even from minor injuries. The disease is carried by the actress herself.

Henrietta’s mother, who is also an NHF spokesperson, has dedicated herself to the support of the community affected by the disease.

In an interview, Alex Borstein stated that helping people with Von Willebrand Disease was not her choice, but rather her responsibility (VWD).

Borstein also expressed her desire to inspire others to advocate for themselves, their loved ones, and their families. She also encouraged people to request testing from their doctor and to speak up if they had a bleeding disorder.
